“I knew I’d get one shot to do this in my life. One opportunity. I’m just an average guy. I’m not for everybody. The only thing I know how to do is coach. For a while, no one had the guts to give us a shot. But [owner] Woody Johnson and [GM] Mike Tannenbaum did, and you know it hasn’t been easy. I’m not perfect. I’ve put them through some hard times this year; you know that. I’m not going to apologize for who I am.”

Mark “El Matádor” Sanchez now has more postseason wins than any other quaterback in New York Jets history.
Are the NY Jets better off with, or without QB Mark “El Matador” Sanchez?

The New York Jets just bought themselves a “Revis Island” for the next 4 years. It only cost them $32 million guaranteed and $46 million overall. Was it worth it?
With the 61st Overall Pick, the New York Jets took OT Vladimir Ducasse. Bad move. They totally need more help on defense. Maybe another CB?
Jesus, as if their Defensive Backfield wasn’t stacked enough, the New York Jets have taken CB Kyle Wilson 29th Overall. They’ll add his youth to Darrelle Revis & Antonio Cromartie’s veteran skillful play. If you plan on throwing heavily against the Jets, you shouldn’t be coaching in the NFL. Get ready for some low scoring games people!
The NFL’s best pass defense has reached a deal in principle to obtain Antonio Cromartie from the San Diego Chargers for a 2011 third-round draft choice that could turn into a second-rounder. That gives the Jets two cornerbacks who are 26 or younger and have been first-team All-Pros within the past three seasons.

Winners: The Jets. They were the most dangerous defensive team with CB Darrelle Revis roaming the yard. Now, with Antonio Cromartie, what they’ve done is essentially upgrade Revis with a cloaking device. If you have to play the Jets this season, you best prepare your run game.
Losers: Everyone else. Over/under for Jets defensive interceptions, per game, next season? 3? 5? 50?
What was New York Jets QB Mark “El Matador” Sanchez’s secret to killing the Oakland Raiders this weekend? (Hint: It wasn’t the “Shaka”-brah)
“I want to apologize for that,” Sanchez said. “I wasn’t feeling very good and didn’t eat much before the game, so I was feeling a little queasy. Toward the end of the game, I probably should have eaten one of those bars or something, but someone offered [a hot dog], so I grabbed it and tried to be discreet about it, but obviously not discreet enough. So I shouldn’t have done that, and it won’t happen again.”

“I just gave that team the win.”- New York Jets quarterback Mark “El Matador” Sanchez, after throwing five interceptions in the Jets’ 16-13 overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Recently added New York Jets WR Braylon Edwards celebrates his 1st touchdown as a Jet. Somehow QB Mark “El Matador” Sanchez manages to make it expertly awkward.
Fairly sure, in this photo, that Tom Brady has that “What the Fuck” face as he’s realizing that the New England Patriots have started off the year playing undefeated teams:
- Week 1 - Buffalo Bills (0-0)
- Week 2 - New York Jets (1-0)
- Week 3 - Atlanta Falcons (2-0)
- Week 4 - Baltimore Ravens (3-0)
- Week 5 - Denver Broncos (4-0)
The power of the Shaka compels New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez!
