“I took a shot at the end zone. I could have checked it down to the back. I got greedy and took a shot at the end zone. I didn’t throw the right ball that I wanted to and it got picked out. It was a bad way to go out, but at least I went out swinging … It’s hindsight now. It’s something I have to learn from.”

“The White House says President Barack Obama has commended the owner of the Philadelphia Eagles for giving quarterback Michael Vick a second chance after his release from prison. Obama spokesman Bill Burton says the president told owner Jeffrey Lurie that while he condemns the crimes Vick was convicted of, he believes people who have paid for their crimes should have the opportunity to contribute to society again.”

“No Worries.”

With the 37th Pick, the Philadelphia Eagles took S Nate Allen to beef up their Defense. The loss of S Brian Dawkins last year left a gaping hole in their pass defense. This should be a nice fit, but it may take a few seasons to tell if he comes close to Dawkins all-around skill & leadership.
DE Brandon Graham is the 13th Overall Pick to the Philadelphia Eagles after they traded up with the Denver Broncos. Going to Philly, Graham better have some tough skin & maybe a GreenMan suit if he wants to last out there.
From Washington’s perspective,Mike Shanahan looked at Donovan McNabb and saw John Elway. In 1995, Shanahan took the Denver coaching job and inherited a quarterback who couldn’t win the big one, who’d gotten stale, who’d lost the faith of the locals in Denver to deliver a Super Bowl. Elway, then 35, went on to play four years for Shanahan and win two Super Bowls. In 2010, Shanahan takes the Washington coaching job and deals for a quarterback who couldn’t win the big one, who’d gotten stale, who’d lost the faith of the locals in Philadelphia to deliver a Super Bowl. McNabb is 33. He wants to play at least four more years.
Breaking: The Philadelphia Eagles have traded QB Donovan McNabb (within their division) to the Washington Redskins for a 2nd round & 3rd or 4th round 2011 draft pick. Thus begins the Kevin Kolb era in Philly. Thus the Jason Campbell era in Washington gets put on hiatus.
Forget Desean Jackson, this was the highlight of today’s Eagles game. (via The 700 Level)
The Eagles mascot was about as agile as all the 49ers who tried to cover Desean yesterday.

Donovan McNabb – Pop Quiz:Quarterback A - 1,421 yards / 9 touchdowns / 7 turnovers over the last five weeks.
Quarterback 2 - 1,535 yards / 9 touchdowns / 7 interceptions over the last five weeks.
You’re swift, so you know one of them is McNabb (QB A). QB 2 is Peyton Manning. Now, I’m not calling Donovan Peyton and Peyton Donovan, but the numbers don’t lie. And the fact that McNabb’s being started in just 44 percent of leagues (and Peyton 97 percent) makes Donovan an interesting play.

Indianapolis Colts have signed wide receiver Hank Baskett, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles. The move comes after the injury to Colts receiver Anthony Gonzalez due to sprained knee ligaments. Baskett was recently released from the Eagles after the addition of two receivers drafted this year and the signing of Michael Vick. Gonzalez injury comes just in time for Baskett, who although doesn’t miss a week in the league, must now learn as much of the Colts offense in a few days prior to the sunday game versus the Miami Dolphins.
You may be wondering why we have a photo of a half-nekkid Kendra Wilkinson in a San Diego Super Chargers jersey. It’s because she’s married to Hank Baskett. Baskett gets the same treatment as Jeff Garcia.
In light of Donovan McNabb’s injury, the Philadelphia Eagles showed their confidence in him and back-up quarterback Kevin Colb, by signing ex-Eagles, Niners, Bucs, & Raiders QB Jeff Garcia. We would’ve put up his photo, but then we remembered what he looked like, versus what his wife, 2004 Playboy Playmate of the Year Carmella DeCesare, looked like. We’re sure everyone agrees, we went with the right decision on this one. You’re welcome.
Are any of you really surprised at this? Cracked/Broken ribs in the first game? Not even #74 there is fazed by Donovan McNabb’s injury. In fact, his body language seems to tells us “I’m pretty sure if I stand this close to Donovan, I’ll get in the press photos”. Actually, that goes for all the players surrounding the writhing quarterback.
